    - Diploma at the Working-Group for Geo-Scientific Remote Sensing at Munich in geology and remote sensing in May 1990. 
     

    - Processing and evaluation of airborne imaging spectrometer and multispectral scanner data (HyMap, GERIS, DAIS 7915, DAEDALUS) , Atmospheric / Geometric Correction  / Data Evaluation 

    - Leading several projects in mine site rehabilitation and the assessment of mining impacts on the environement

    - Leading spectral ground validation campaigns in Germany, other European countries, Israel and India with different ground spectroradiometers (IRIS Mark IV/V, GER3700, ASD Personal Spectrometer II, ASD FieldSpec FR, EBRO Thermal Radiometer) 

    - Sept. 1996 - 1999  Head of the working group‘Spectroscopy & Modelling’ at the DLR, Institute of Optoelectronics

    - Since Jan. 2000 Head of the  working group ´Imaging Spectroscopy´ at the DLR, German Remote Sensing Data Center

    - Responsible for the EU funded DAIS Large-Scale Facility Project from 1996- 1999 and the HySens project from 2000 - 2003 

    - Chairman of the Special Interest Group 'Imaging Spectroscopy' at the European Assiciation of Remote Sensing Laboratories (EARSeL
